Amak Mahmoodian Talk

This time the speaker is Amak Mahmoodian, a female photographer from Iran. She brought us a poem at the beginning of the speech. This poem is like her picture, connecting the forgotten past and the present, "When the memory is erased, we mark it in the form of a photo." There are parts of life, death, and soul mentioned in her photos. Although the culture is different, they are all very attractive. Zanjir, this is a work that she claims to reflect her life, carrying the memories of the pastor, in other words, living in the past. Her work also explored the issue of identity. She asked people nearby to take photos of some people for re-shooting. This is all about performative innocence, identity recovering, and reconnecting past and present.
